The TourTek Service Bureau will offer similar functionality to that offered in a full in-house system at a fraction of the cost. The modules being offered in the TourTek Service Bureau, at this time, include the base, payables and GDS modules. We also offer a rich media front end web site that enables B2C or B2B bookings to the Service Bureau. Each tour operator’s data will be housed on their own 100% secure Oracle database disc partition. This enables TourTek to guarantee the integrity of the Service Bureau’s customers product.
The TourTek Service Bureau is priced to be very affordable to the smaller tour operator with a ‘pay as they go’ pricing structure.

Rick Ridding
President and Director of Business Development

Mr. Ridding brings more than 18 years of software, data communication and travel industry experience to the Solars team. Prior to Mr. Ridding’s tenure as Director of Business Development and Technology with Solars, he held the position of Technology Director for the Canadian division of Sabre, Inc., the leading provider of technology, distribution and marketing services for the travel industry.

Frank Wells

Mr. Wells is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCS Solars Inc., the parent company of SCS Solars Computing Systems Inc. Mr. Wells holds over 19 years of diversified management experience, specifically related to the travel and computer industries.

Andrew O’Leary

Mr. O’Leary brings to the Corporation over 17 years of experience in information technology and management, five of those years with Mayne Nicholls Pty., one of Australia’s largest commercial suppliers of information services. He joined the Corporation in 1995, as the Technical Director and was responsible for product development and integrity, as well as being instrumental in the development of the network communication system that is the proprietary backbone of the SolarNet system.

Robert Wilson
Director of Account Development

Mr. Wilson brings over 25 years in travel and sales and marketing experience to SolarNet. As SolarNet’s former Director of Sales, Mr.Wilson was instrumental in establishing its initial client base and creating international marketing partnerships for the company.

Charles S. Walker

Mr. Walker brings considerable senior management experience to SolarNet. Mr. Walker is CEO and President of the Walker Group, a provider of manufacturing, administration, and marketing services to the North American automotive and consumer goods industries. He is also a Director of, a leading provider of electronic pricing technology.

K. Barry Sparks

Since 1995, Mr. Sparks has been the Chairman of Hawk Capital Corporation, a corporate advisory and management company, and president of Torvan Capital Group Inc. of Ontario.Prior to 1995, Mr. Sparks was the president of Targa International Corporation, an international trade and investment company.

Patricia Wilson
Corporate Secretary

Ms. Wilson brings over 20 years of experience in the public sector, specifically in compliance and accounting. Ms. Wilson has 15 years in travel industry administration and accounting. For eight years she was also the owner of a retail travel agency.

John Latremouille
President – TourTek Division

As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Latremouille oversaw the design and development of the TourTek Tour Management System. Mr. Latremouille brings 22 years of experience in the travel industry at both the tour operator and information system provider levels to the company.

Michael Lawson
Director of Development
TourTek Division

As Director of Development, Mr. Lawson is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of TourTek. Mr. Lawson has over 20 years of programming experience, of which the last ten he was also involved as a travel software supplier.

John Forde

As Director of Operations, Mr. Forde is responsible for the installation and support of TourTek. Mr. Forde has over ten years of experience in the travel industry at both the tour operator and information system provider levels, with an emphasis on customer support and training.
